Wealth-X Adds UHNW Foundations To Database

Wealth-X has added to its database nearly 3,000 ultra high
net worth individuals whose private philanthropic foundation has more than $25
million in assets under management. Information includes biographies, wealth,
motivations, passions and relationships. The private foundations represent 920 legal entities, a median average of $50 million per
organization, and a total of $189 billion in assets under management. The top four giving categories of the foundations in the
database are education, social services, health and environment. Wealth-X
created the list of active UHNW philanthropists by analyzing public records,
tax documents and media reports. "The start of 2011 has brought a welcome resurgence
among active philanthropists, who are both seeking effective managers and
suitable organizations to meet their giving objectives," executive vice
president of strategy David Friedman said.
